AWARENESS SESSION ON HEALTH AND HYGIENE
Mar Baselios Public School organised an informative awareness session on Health and Hygiene for the students of Classes 3 -5 on 29th October, focusing on the importance of personal hygiene, safe and unsafe touch and overall well-being. The programme was conducted by the Inner Wheel Club of Vakathanam with the aim of empowering students with essential knowledge and awareness for leading healthy, safe and confident lives.
The session was graced by Mrs. Mangalam Raju, President of the Inner Wheel Club of Vakathanam, and Dr. Jeena Koshy, District Treasurer of the Inner Wheel Club, Kottayam. The resource person, Dr. Manju James, Assistant Surgeon at the Family Health Centre, Manimala and Treasurer of the Inner Wheel Club of Vakathanam, led the awareness session.
Through this meaningful initiative, students were sensitised to the significance of maintaining personal hygiene, practising healthy habits, understanding personal boundaries, and recognising safe and unsafe touch. The session encouraged them to develop self-awareness, prioritise their well-being and seek help from trusted adults whenever necessary.
The school expresses its sincere gratitude to the Inner Wheel Club of Vakathanam and the resource person for their valuable contribution to this enlightening programme. The initiative was a significant step towards fostering a culture of health, safety, and holistic development among students.
