BASELIAN EDUCATION CONCLAVE - BEC 2026
As part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations MBPS hosted an enriching event - Baselian Education Conclave -BEC 2026 on 13 th August. Eminent panel of speakers led the discussion.The official inauguration of the conclave was graciously done by the blessings of HH Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, Catholicos of the East, Malankara Metropolitan and the Manager of MBPS. Sri Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Honourable Speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly and Dr Vaikom Vijaylakshmi, the renowned playback singer and National Award Winner were honoured on the occasion.
The first session of the conclave began with a thought provoking discussion on Character Building and Value Based Education. The speaker H G Zachariah Mar Severios emphasized that true education is not merely academic excellence but developing integrity,empathy, responsibility, discipline and respect for others.
The second session was on Overcoming Setbacks in the Present Age of FOMO. This was led by the famous orator and motivational speaker Mr Jose Annamkutty Jose. The speaker addressed the Fear Of Missing Out and reminded students that setbacks, failures and delays are signs of future success.
The conclave also explored a pressing concern of the digital generation through the session 'Social Media Addiction in Young Minds' by Dr Anju Sosan George. The session highlighted how excessive dependence on social media can affect attention, relationship, productivity and emotional well-being.
The sessions were interactive and engaging, providing students with opportunities to listen, reflect and participate in discussions.
As MBPS celebrates twenty five years of its successful journey, the Education Conclave stood as a fitting reminder of its commitment to holistic education.
