INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION -24
" United we stand , together we celebrate freedom ".
MBPS celebrated India's 78 th Independence Day. The vibrant and patriotic event began with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony by the School Principal accompanied by student council members. The sight of the fluttering Tricolour against the bright morning sky instilled a deep sense of patriotism. Following the flag hoisting, the Principal addressed the gathering, emphasizing the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The event ended with sweets being distributed among students, parents and staff. The celebration reinforced our commitment to the values of freedom, unity and equality and made everyone proud to be the part of this great nation.
Mar Baselios Public School were proud to kickstart the grand event - "Freedom Fiesta "on 13th August 2024.
Azadi Ka Jashna
We witnessed a Fashion Show under the theme " Azadi Ka Jashna". This show was designed to foster cultural exchange and understanding as part of the Ek Bharat Sreshta Bharat initiative , with each House having 2 students each- 1 to represent Kerala and other to represent Chattisgarh. Grade V students gave a phenomenal performance.
Bharat Ki Shaan-Personality Paegent
This was followed by mega Personality Paegent show titled " Bharat Ki Shaan". Here too, two students ( from Grades VI- VIII ) of each House came dressed up as one of the great freedom fighters of India. That was definitely a treat to the eyes!
AZADI KA SAFAR- THE FREEDOM QUIZ
As part of India's 78th Independence Day celebrations,MBPS conducted a Freedom Quiz- AZADI KA SAFAR - for Senior Secondary students on 14th August 2024. The event enhanced students ' understanding of our freedom movement and instilled a sense of patriotism. The quiz featured multiple rounds including Audio-Visual rounds and Rapid Fire round. Students participated as teams of four members representing various houses.
The event was a fitting tribute to our great freedom fighters and it left a lasting impact on both the participants and audience as well.
DESH KI AWAZ - THE FREEDOM SPEECH
On the occasion of India's 78th Independence Day celebrations,a speech competition -DESH KI AWAZ - was organised to foster the spirit of freedom,unity and to celebrate the legacy of our freedom fighters. It was conducted on 14 th August 2024. Two speakers from each house delivered thought provoking and captivating speeches on various aspects of our freedom struggle.
The competition was a resounding success providing students with a platform to express their views and to think critically.
