INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2025
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–26 was held with great dignity and enthusiasm at Mar Baselios Public School, Devalokam. This solemn occasion marked the official induction of the newly elected student council members into leadership roles.
The ceremony commenced with the entry of the Student Council, followed by a melodious prayer song by the school choir that set the tone for the event. Nikhil Vergis, the former Head Boy, delivered a warm welcome speech, extending greetings to the chief guest and the school community.
The highlight of the event was the adorning of sashes and badges, which was gracefully conducted by Ms. Nini Abraham, Principal of MBPS, and Colonel P. Srinivasan, Commanding Officer, 16 Kerala Battalion, NCC Kottayam, who served as the esteemed Chief Guest. He later delivered an inspiring keynote address, emphasizing leadership, responsibility, and service to the nation.
A touching moment in the program was the segment titled “Light of Legacy – A Symbolic Transition,” representing the passing of responsibilities from the former council to the newly elected members. Rev. Fr. Saji Yohannan, Administrator of MBPS, appreciated and felicitated the outgoing council members for their service and dedication.
The audience was moved by the reflections shared by Brayan Itty Thomas (Former Jr. Head Boy) and Ersella Zacharias (Former Jr. Head Girl), who shared their leadership experiences. The newly elected Head Girl, Vismaya Rajeev, expressed heartfelt words of gratitude, and Naina Elsa Shine, the Former Head Girl, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
The ceremony concluded with the school anthem, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the student leaders. The entire event was a reminder of the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership, discipline, and a spirit of service among its students
