Nallapadam-Blood Donation Awareness Programme
The Humanities Department organized “Nallapadam ”, an initiative aimed at creating social awareness among students of Grades 6, 7, and 8, in connection with World Blood Donor Day. The programme sought to educate students about the importance of blood donation and its role in saving lives.
The resource person for the session was Mr. E. V. Philip, who delivered an informative talk on blood donation. He explained the benefits of donating blood, eligibility criteria for donors, and situations in which individuals should refrain from donating. He also emphasized the need for voluntary blood donation and encouraged students to become responsible donors when they reach the eligible age.
The session was highly interactive and enriching, helping students understand the value of selfless service to society. The programme successfully instilled awareness and inspired young minds to contribute positively to the community in the future.
