SHIELD --(Students Help- Inspire- Educate and Lead against Drug)
As part of its commitment to promoting a healthy and drug free lifestyle among students, MBPS hosted SHIELD, an anti- drug movement in association with Malayala Manorama,Excise Department of Kerala and Sargakshetra 89.6 FM.
The session was for students of Grade VII-XI. It commenced with an introductory address by Mr Varkey K Joseph, Circulation Executive, Malayala Manorama ,who highlighted the importance of staying away from drugs and adopting positive values. The session was inaugurated by Fr John Padnjareveedu, Assistant Director, Sargakshetra 89.6 FM.In his speech, Father emphasized the collective responsibility of students, parents, teachers and society in combating drug abuse. The anti-drug campaign was led by Mr Benny Sebastian, Excise Preventive Officer.Sir conducted an engaging awareness session motivating students to become the ambassadors of the drug-free movement.
The programme SHIELD inspired students to pledge their commitment to a healthy lifestyle and actively spread the message of "No to Drugs, Yes to Life".
